Detention Source is an application that autonomously invoices and processes detention requests between shippers, carriers, truck drivers and logistic professionals.
Using custom parameters set on appointed geofence locations, the application automatically detects with accuracy the arrival and departure times to each geofence at the shipper and receiver.
The system automatically sends out notifications when the driver is entering detention and sends out a detailed invoice which is custom to each customer’s detention policy that allows the customer to approve or decline the detention request within seconds.
Once approved, the system auto generates a voucher for the carrier or truck driver to use at the time of invoicing to get compensated accordingly for the detention.
